Today Joel Plaskett Emergency dropped a third single, entitled Old Friends.
This is the third song in a series of ten to be recorded and digitally released by Joel and his band The Emergency; one song a week for ten weeks before Scrappy Happiness comes out on March 27, 2012.

Here is this week’s music singles chart.
The week ending January 22 – 28.
There is no change with the #1 song which happens to be Montreal’s Grimes.
While we have to wait until February 21st for Visions.
Just have fun with her song Genesis, a fun dreamy pop dance tune.
There are four new debuts, one being Yamantaka // Sonic Titans who will be playing in Ottawa on February 3rd.

The Balconies finally relaunched their official music video for Kill Count.
The music video was actually shown for one week in December in part of CMW’s Facebook promotion.

It was a CD Release show for ex-Ottawa/Toronto’s James and Blackburn.
They dropped their debut album Island Universe.

No, I didn’t go to see Anamanaguchi play.
I was hoping to see Toronto’s Moon King (Ex-Spiral Beach members) play their first Ottawa show.
Unfortunelay they couldn’t make it due to the weather from driving up to Toronto.
I was kind of bummed out.
