Things are sort of picking up post Bluesfest and it was a Friday night. Headed up to Cafe Dekcuf to see three bands (technically two since I didn’t see the headliner). People are waiting breathlessly for the new release of Arcade Fire’s third full-length album “The Suburbs”. The album drops on August 2/3, 2010. I know there are some people who would wait for the release date. I for one couldn’t wait and decided to hear it. Don’t worry I pre-ordered The Suburbs on iTunes.
Winnipeg’s Royal Canoe played a unique set at Zaphod Beeblebrox on July 22, 2010. Also playing were Ottawa’s Giant Hand and The Amalgamation. Still being post Bluesfest. It was a great show to enjoy.
