This was my first time attending a show at the Shenkaman Arts Centre in Orleans.
All I have to say is, this is one nice venue and the seats are very comfortable.
I was there to see the Good Lovelies play.
It was their beginning of their “Have A Merry Christmas”.
Ottawa was the first stop in their 9 day Ontario tour.

One of the highlights from this year’s Ottawa Folk Festival on August 27th was seeing Basia Bulat.
When I heard she was going to play at this year’s festival, I was so overwhelmed and finally her music can fit well with that kind of genre and atomspehere.
She happened to play on the Ravenlaw Stage.
She definitely drew a big crowd despite the loudness from Tom Morello.
She hasn’t played since the winter time but definitely an amazing musician to catch live.
