They play a mix of psych rock low-fi surf punk alt soul-funk hip trip hop dream pop shoegaze garage blues grass druggy and tribal rhythms.

Dirty Beaches is one of my favorite musicians at the moment.
I don’t think Alex will need my approval of positivity and Asian solidarity but I am going to give it to him anyways. 
Dirty Beaches has been on a wild ride since the critical acclaim and success from Badlands which came out in 2011.
Now he will do something ambitious which the double album “Drifters/Love Is The Devil” which drops on May 21st through Zoo Music.
Total of 16 tracks. Drifters with 8 tracks and Love Is The Devil with 8 tracks.
Drifters/Love Is The Devil is a reflection on the fragility of reality.

I was curious to who ev ree wuhn (Pronounced “Everyone”) was.
I wasn’t aware that they used to be the defunct (?) Toronto band “Dora Alexander“.
Anyways they are going to drop their debut self-titled EP on May 14th.

This is a big surprise and just got posted on Pitchfork.
The long awaited new track from Braids has come out.
Taken from In Kind // Amends 12″ single which drops on June 11th.
While the second album will come out in the fall.
What is surprising, they are on Arbutus Records (USA) & Full Time Hobby (UK/Europe), while still on Flemish Eye in Canada.
The band has gone more of a dark electro-dance route.
Similar from Blue Hawaii.
I actually like this song since it has a fun and epic dance beat to it.

On Tuesday night, I was fortunate enough to be interview with two members (John and Ruby) of Yamantaka // Sonic Titan for their documentary.
Mostly about their music and what I thought about their amazing live shows.
Besides being nervous and excited, it went out without a hitch.
Can’t wait to see how they shot Raw Sugar Cafe and the “Chinagate” on Somerset St.
Forgot to ask them about the name of the documentary.
But they said it would be out sometime in June or later.
While YT//ST is busy recording the anticipated second album. (Dying in excitement)
Right now they are trying to get this videogame in the works for Spring 2014 called Your Task: Shoot Things.
The game is a interactive rock opera that’s playable on your iOS or Android-based mobile device.
Where you can shoot and be a character based from Yamantaka // Sonic Titan’s live shows.
