It’s that time of the year where everyone compiles their best of 2012 list.
I do have my best of albums (Canadian and Non-Canadian) but it’s still in a work in progress.
For now I decided to make my list of the best live shows I’ve been to in 2012.
Since it’s 2012, why not make it a Top 12.
There will be some of the shows that didn’t take place in Ottawa but was simply “WOW!” when I happened to catch that show.

The day had finally come on September 15th.
The long awaited inaugural edition of Arboretum Music + Arts Festival which took place at the HI Ottawa Hostel and Arts Court/Club Saw.
There was alot to see, hear, do and eat at this festival.
It was a nice day to enjoy.

Here is part two of four on who to see at Pop Montreal this year.
I will be attending this year’s festival from September 19 – 22.
I forgot to mention that my goal is try to see the acts that I know won’t be playing Ottawa.
This is for September 20th and here are my picks on who to see.
This might change on the day of.
So if you really want me to see your set, you must give me really good reason! 
Grime’s show at Club Soda is completely sold out so there are some suggestions to see on this night.

As previously posted a few days ago.
The revealing of the line-up for the first annual Arboretum Festival took place at Babylon Nightclub on June 7, 2012.
The festival will take place on September 15th at the Ottawa Hostel courtyard.
There was a lovely artwork and display on stage.
Grill cheese sandwiches on hand. Which was deliciously good!
Rolf Klausener and Marlene Power were on hand to reveal the list of local businesses participating this event.
The music was by the DJs of Ceremony and Kitchen Party.

Went to a show down in Hull on December 8, 2011.
Fearing of getting lost I actually found Le Temporaire.
It is a really nice venue/artspace.
This was a record release show for Ferriswheel.
They released their album Un Peu au Nord et Sans Distorsion.
Ferriswheel doesn’t get to play live alot due to some of member’s busy schedule with their other bands.

It’s been awhile since I last heard from Ferriswheel, which I assume is mostly due to their busy schedules with touring/working with other bands.
So, I fell off my chair when news came out about the long awaited second album called Un Peu au Nord et Sans Distorsion (translation: A little in North and Without Distortion).
The album will officially drop on November 29, 2011.

I finally got my hands on Ferriswheel‘s track Dusty Gentle Creature.
The song is taken from the Timber Timbre’s Black Water 7″ single.
I was more interested in checking out the b-side from Ferriswheel than the a-side.
Unless you speed up Black Water to 45 rpm or do some funky DJ remixing .
