Compiling the Best of 2010 “Overall Albums”

Here is another installment of what to expect on the Best of 2010 list.
This time being “Overall”.
I don’t just focus on Canadian music, I do check out stuff from the USA and the UK.
Overall being albums outside of Canada that was released in 2010.
As before in the “Canadian albums of 2010” no albums that was released in late 2009.
There will be some Canadian albums that made a splash outside of Canada crossing over into this list.
I really need your help/input on which albums from the USA, UK or elsewhere should make it in the Top 50?
Please make a comment and I will try and see if I should check out the album.
Here is a teaser from the Top 50 albums I have chosen in “alphabetical order” (not the official ranking).

Being clumped into the same British female singers like:

  • Amy Winehouse (Whenever she will get out of rehab and make a new album)
  • Lily Allen
  • Adele (Whenever she will release a new album)

She is back with the new album called “My Best Friend Is You“.

Crafts for a Cause

Little Joy‘s Binki Shapiro has started an online auction, Crafts for a Cause, to help raise money for Haiti relief. She’s rallied fellow musicians and the like to create items for the auction.

Have a look at Sia decorating a wallet in fast motion:

Some of the items up for bidding are:

All of the proceeds of the auction will go to Artists for Peace and Justice, an organization founded by Paul Haggis. I think it’s a great way of raising money for disaster relief. I really wish I had a credit card to bid though!

The auction begins March 15th at 8pm.
