It’s been awhile since I last heard from Ottawa’s Birthday Girls.
I recently gotten this email that band just dropped the music video to Blood Brothers.
The track is taken off from the EP of the same name.

At first I thought Birthday Girls was a all girl group.
I was totally wrong, the band is a trio from Ottawa.
Recently seen their names popped up for some shows in the Ottawa music scene (I was not around due to being at Pop Montreal or other shows).
With various shows happening in Ottawa at the same time, I haven’t seen them live yet.
The band just released their debut self-titled EP.
It is four tracks of indie dance, noise rock and post-punk tunes.
Very reminisced to Death From Above 1979, Bloc Party, Green Go and Japandroids.
They sort of remind me of another Ottawa band New Teeth but without the synths.
Surprised with this EP, got me rocking around to Teenagers and Siren.
Hoping they would make a splash in the Ottawa music scene.
If they are going to make a full-length it should stand out big time.
A band that makes you get your dancing shoes on.
