On March 4th, Blue Hawaii will finally drop their long awaited second album “Untogether”!
I still think Blooming Summer is a album not a EP.
With the popularity of the indie dance electro-pop music acts from Braids, Purity Ring and Grimes.
While Braids is on temporary backburner (Don’t worry! They will probably have a new album later this year)
I think Blue Hawaii should definitely get the big break they deserves.
Well considering “Untogether” is being stream on Pitchfork.

I was hoping it would be Violet but whatever!
It’s nice cover of Malibu.

Suuns – 2020 [Music Video]
No! I don’t think they got the title from Justin Timberlake. ![]()
Anyways Montreal’s Suuns just dropped a second music video.
The track is taken from the upcoming album “Images Du Futur”.

WARNING: Music video might give you seizures.
Pat Jordache – STEPS (damaged goods) [Music Video]
Haven’t heard from the Montreal band Pat Jordache in quite some time.
Hopefully they will drop a new album in 2013.
For now they have a music video for STEPS (damaged goods).
The song has that 1980s New Wave lo-fi synth-rock sound to it.
The video was filmed at the Silver Door in Montreal.
Have a look at the video.
Mozart’s Sister says “Hello” to a debut EP!

Will 2013 be a breakthrough hit for Montreal’s Mozart’s Sister?
For anyone not familiar, it is the solo project of Caila Thompson-Hannant who used to play with Shapes + Sizes and Think About Life.
This time she is on her own and will drop her first EP “Hello” February 25th on Merok Records.
Kudos to Caila to be on this label.
This is you will hear from this.
Mixing electronic loops and samples, R&B grooves and a soaring soul sister voice, the sound is unique and shows a woman who is not afraid to take chances or play by her own rules.
Tracks on Hello:
- Mozart’s Sister
- Don’t Leave It To Me
- Contentedness
- Single Status
While listening to the four tracks, I couldn’t help but enjoy it!
Remember hearing the songs Mozart’s Sister and Don’t Leave It To Me played live at various shows.
I will say it again, it is like listening to a mature version of Grimes mixed in with some tUnE-yArDs and Think About Life.
Kind of like it when they used their act name as a song title.
You should definitely check her music out if you like synth-pop dance!

UN – UNtitled [Review]

Wow! I wasn’t expecting this!
I swear Montreal is definitely a hot bed of what is unique in the music scene.
I happened to see them play at Pop Montreal 2012 at the opening party.
UN (Pronounced when you say UNtitled) consist of:
- Kara Keith (Vocals, Sound Layering Wizard)
- Jen Reimer (Sound Engineering, Drums)
