The National – Graceless

The National‘s Trouble Will Find Me won’t dropped until May 21st.
There is high anticipation on this album.
I think this is one the standout tracks on the album.
More of a upbeat rock track.
Have a listen to Graceless.

The National – Exile Vilify/Think You Can Wait

The National are on a high this year releasing songs for various soundtracks.
First they release a song called Think You Can Wait from the soundtrack to Win Win.
Now the band just released a single for a videogame called Portal 2.
I will say this, it is kind of weird for a band like The National will contribute a song for a videogame.
Since videogames and The National don’t really match really well.
I am not into videogames but it is giving them a mass broader appeal for their music.
Exile Vilify does has that slow evoking National sound.
Call it a indie rock ballad from them.
Have a listen to Exile Vilify.

Here is the chart for the week ending March 20 – 26.
Since Mother Mother released their new album Eureka (which I need to review), not a surprise it is this week’s #1 single.
Also there are five new debuts.
Check it out.

The National – England

File:Highviolet.jpg
DVRed the Austin City Limits episode with The National + Band Of Horses last night on PBS.
Disappointed they didn’t sing this song since I am growing accustomed to it.
I must have a delayed reaction but after listening to Runaway so many times.
A few days ago, while listening to Zane Lowe on BBC Radio 1.
He played England by The National because he loves the band.
I think it should be the next single off from High Violet.
Have a listen to England.
Something about this song I find is so vastly haunting, intense and emotional.

I wasn’t aware that song was played live on CBC Radio 1‘s Q
