Bishop Morocco’s EP [Review]

Toronto’s Bishop Morocco was one the acts who I manage to catch at the Arts & Crafts Showcase during Pop Montreal.
I found out that the band used to be on Hand Drawn Dracula and now jumped ship to Arts & Crafts.
So far the band is going to drop their EP “Old Boys” on March 13, 2012.

Listening to the whole EP of six tracks.
It has that indie retro new wave pop-rock sound of the 1980s.
Reminisced of Joy Division/New Order and early U2 on the songs “Colonial Man” and “Melt My Mind”.
Another band that keeps popping into my head is The Vaccines on the song “Bleeds”.
If you like that whole sound, then you should check it out.
Track listings:

  • Bleeds
  • Old Boys

  • Colonial Man
  • Melt My Mind
  • City Island
  • A Fine Line

I’d give this EP 8/10.
