Century Egg – Mountain God 山神仙 [Review]

As with Facebook friend’s newsfeed, I couldn’t help but be curious to this band called Century Egg.
They are a multi-cultural band from Halifax whose members are Shane Keyu Song, Robert Drisdelle, Tri Le and Nick Dourado!
I was really impressed with this EP since 3/4s are in Mandarin.
It is unheard of with Canadian bands performing in another language, minus Yamantaka // Sonic Titan.
Catchy garage bedroom pop rock music.
They end the EP with the song One Thousand Words, Ten Thousand Phrases 千言万语 by Teresa Teng who was a famous Taiwanese pop singer and known for her folk songs and romantic ballads. Tragically died in 1995
Fear not! They have one song in the EP that isn’t in Mandarin and that is the song “Since I Caught You”.
The style of music sort of reminds me of a Japanese band called PuffyAmiYumi.
Refreshing band that I have caught and maybe make some waves in Canada’s music scene.

I’d give Mountain God 山神仙:
