Fresh Pepper – Congee Around Me [Listen]

Today the Toronto outfit Fresh Pepper who led by longtime friends Andre Ethier and Joseph Shabason, dropped their first single called Congee Around Me.
The leading single is taken from their self-titled debut album which is out June 17, 2022 via Telephone Explosion Records.
While I question why they decided to have a song title that is signature Chinese food.
The track is a nice mellow artsy alternative jazz music.

About the track:
“Congee Around Me” finds warmth in the chaos, imparting the same sense of peace within the jumble that characterizes Fresh Pepper while fusing Shabason’s light sax with warm electronics and Ethier’s signature croon.
“Mushrooms in the frying pan,” he sings, summarizing the album’s pathos, “throw another onion in, I’ll see you when I see you.”
