On June 21st, Ottawa Explosion, Arboretum Festival, Herd Magazine and Wavelength Toronto presented a party at St.Alban’s Church called “Holy Smokes!”
Playing at the show:
• Fresh Snow
• The Yips
• Del Bel
• Most People
The first band to play was Toronto’s Most People.
It was a great indie electro-psych-pop music.
Really enjoyed their music and first time in Ottawa (?).
Second band was Del Bel.
They played a nice atmospheric orchestral folk pop music.
Great band to see live.
Third band was Ottawa’s The Yip.
It was a crazy and weird indie Ouija rock set.
Apparently I got crowd surfed during that set.
Then it got more crazy with fake blood on the band members.
Fun and wild set.
Final band was Fresh Snow.
It was their first time playing Ottawa.
Some of the members were wearing red masks.
I really was impressed with their music.
It was indie experimental instrumental electro-pop-rock music.
Sort of reminds me of Austra without the singing.
Love that set alot!
Overall it was a great time to enjoy the party.
Here are the photos.
