Being diverse as I can be in the music scene.
I went to this lovely show at the Bronson Centre.
Playing at the concert was the talented Measha Brueggergosman.
The first time I’ve heard about her was probably CBC Radio One’s Q show.
Also she was on the Rick Mercer Report.
She was in Ottawa promoting her new album “I’ve Got A Crush On You” out on Kelp Records.
The show started with the band members getting ready.
Then Measha comes on stage in a stunning yellow dress.
Wow that hair of hers, it was big! (I don’t know how she does it!?)
Measha can sing anything, from classical, pop, jazz, soul, adult contemporary and event reggae.
Did an amazing job on covering songs from Ron Sexsmith’s Secret Heart, Feist’s Cicadas and Gulls, My Funny Valentine, an Arcadian song and Gershwin’s I’ve Got a Crush on You.
What a talented musician!
Measha was also funny on stage, engaging and captivating the audience.
She joked that her guitarist is like a 2Pac hologram.
I wasn’t aware that Measha is currently living in Ottawa.
It was an amazing show!
Here are the rest of the photos.
