After the workshops.
There was alot going on Saturday’s Ottawa Folk Festival.
So I will make this into two parts again.
Part one will be focusing on the day shows that happened.
All I can say it was a mix of style genre of music.
- Todd Crowley who runs the Musical Petting Zoo
- The Little Stevies
- Jon and Roy
- Street Drum Corps
- Kim Churchill
At the CUPE stage at around 1pm.
Playing was Todd Crowley and was singing alot of folk songs.
I didn’t know he was the one that runs the “Musical Petting Zoo” at the Kidzone.
Where anyone can play with the musical instruments you can imagine.
At the Ravenlaw stage, Australia’s The Little Stevies played a wonderful folk-pop set.
At the Falls Stage (I like to call the Dance tent), I caught abit of Jon & Roy.
Noticed alot of children and adults were dancing to their music.
I didn’t get to see The Wooden Sky because I had to do my interview with Kim Churchill.
Which was a good thing because it happened to be a great interview and he is such a nice person to interview.

At the CUPE stage, I got to take photos at the side of the stage during Street Drum Corps.
It was a exhilarating experience to see it live.
Good thing there was a part where Justin was using a golf club to slam to keg barrel.
The end of it flew off and good thing it didn’t hit me.
It did get some people intrigue since it wasn’t really folk-y style.
There were some people enjoying it.
Kim Churchill played a great set at the Moon stage.
All I can say that he is one talented musician!!
Here are the rest of the photos.
