Pentagon Black’s Black Dots Info Pamphlet #1

Today, Pentagon Black released the first information pamphlet called Black Dots: An Afropunk Primer by Chris Murdoch.

This is “Black Dots: An Afropunk Primer” written by Halifax musician, writer, and DJ Chris Murdoch, and it’s an eight-page 2800 word pamphlet about when Black first met punk in the UK, the USA, and Chris’ own life.
Mentioned in the pamphlet: the Bad Brains, Death, Toni Young, Minor Threat, Don Letts, Red C, Bubba Dupree, Void, Chuck Treece, Mike Cornelius, McRad, Ray Barbee, Poly Styrene, X-Ray Spex, Neville Staple, Lynval Golding, DIY spirit, noise, fury, skateboards, weirdness, etc.
The icing on the cake? Five illustrations by Raymond Biesinger (the New Yorker, Monocle, Le Monde, etc.), a $2 price tag, and that Chris and Pentagon Black will donate all June sales of the pamphlet to the Black Lives Matter Solidarity Fund NS.
