Vancouver’s PISS have dropped the music video for their latest single, “blocking a scene you can’t remember.”
The track is the second single from the band’s upcoming full-length debut, you made me / skin on linen, which arrives October 30, 2026, via Sub Pop Records outside Canada and Paper Bag Records in Canada.
“blocking a scene you can’t remember” is a heavy and devastating slow-core track that takes its time building.
It begins slowly and quietly, creating an uncomfortable and emotional atmosphere before gradually becoming more intense. By the climatic ending, all that tension erupts into something much angrier and more powerful.
According to PISS, the song deals directly with sexual abuse and its lasting impacts.
The lyrics take the form of a monologue, with a girl alone in her room rehearsing a long-overdue confrontation with a man from her past.
It makes the song feel deeply personal and unsettling, especially as the music continues to build underneath the narrative.
The official music video was co-directed by PISS front-person Tay Zantingh and Nushi Sharma, complementing the weight and intensity of the song without taking away from its emotional core.
This is a serious and difficult song, but it is also one that feels incredibly purposeful.
PISS aren’t rushing the emotion here. Instead, they let the tension slowly build until it reaches that explosive, angry climax.
“blocking a scene you can’t remember” is a powerful second preview of what to expect from you made me / skin on linen.
