Started off my day with Pop Montreal‘s Symposium called “Voices on Voices” on September 23, 2011.
This workshop/discussion was with tUnE-yArDs.
This was about her writing and arrangement in her music.
I was very excited to attend this one since usually at festivals I rarely attend these workshops.
The workshop was moderated by Drew Nelles.
It started off with a discussion about her music.
I thought it was pretty insightful.
There was some Q&A after the discussion.
Afterwards the workshop was joined with a group of local vocalists (who performed that same night) to participate in some vocal activities with Merrill.
It was pretty fun to do the yodeling.
The group did a new song
Merrill taught how to sing one of her songs which was Hatari.
This wasn’t a boring workshop.
Glad I was there to experience it.
