RBC Ottawa Bluesfest 2015 – Day 8 [July 16, 2015]

Day 8 of Ottawa Bluesfest 2015 was very decent to say the least.
The acts that I caught were Mother Mother, Paul Oakenfold, Hilotrons, Fet.Nat, Adam Saikaley (DJ Set), Dallas Smith, Donovan Woods.

Mother Mother @ Ottawa Bluesfest 2015
Headlining the Canadian Stage was Mother Mother. Amazing performance as always with their catchy pop rock music. A mix from new and old songs. Favorite was hearing Oh My Heart from the album of the same name. One of the bands who put on a great show and not disappointing their fans.
Paul Oakenfold @ Ottawa Bluesfest 2015
Headlining the Monster Energy Stage was Paul Oakenfold. Truly one of the best highlights on Day 8 of the festival.
Hilotrons @ Ottawa Bluesfest 2015
Ottawa’s Hilotron performed a wonderful set of experimental pop and new wave music. Very Talking Heads like with some crazy and funkiness. Got me dancing too!
Adam Saikaley (DJ Set) @ Ottawa Bluesfest 2015
Adam Saikaley was doing a DJ set over at the Fort tent or RBC area.
Fet. Nat @ Ottawa Bluesfest 2015
After that weird experience, I went to the Canadian Stage and caught Hull band Fet.Nat. Now there was music that I was most accustomed to which was experimental rock music!
Dallas Smith @ Ottawa Bluesfest 2015
I was curious to who Dallas Smith who was performing at the Bell Stage. Didn’t know it was actually country music which was painful. It made me feel somewhat uncomfortable in the photopit with all the redneck Keith Urban fans staring at me. I didn’t know that Dallas Smith was the lead singer for Default. Another horrible band from the 2000s.
Ornaments @ Ottawa Bluesfest 2015
Caught most of Ottawa rockers Ornaments at the Canadian Stage.
Donovan Woods @ Ottawa Bluesfest 2015
Began Thursday’s Bluesfest by checking out Canadian musician Donovan Woods. Pretty talented musician and had alot of cool stage banter.
