The weather was scorching hot on the second last day of RBC Ottawa Bluesfest.
It was kind of my favorite day since there was one artist I really wanted to see.
Started off the day with Ottawa’s hip-hop artist Hevve (pronounced Heavy).
Cooled off inside at the Barney Danson Theatre to catch abit of pop music by Cassidy Taylor.
Didn’t know that Elijah Woods x Jamie Fine was performing at Bluesfest.
The duo was on CTV’s The Launch and after that they have been doing well for themselves.
I was so excited to see Yaeji perform!
Yaeji is a Korean/American based electronic musician from New York City.
Blending elements of house music and hip hop with mellow, quiet vocals sung in both English and Korean.
I didn’t care if she lipsynch or not, it is so rare to see an Asian artist to perform at the main stage at this festival.
Go Asian pride!
leMeow performing at the Claridge Homes Stage.
River City Junction got things all blues and rocking at the Blacksheep Stage.
Jessie Reyez surely gave a performance of a lifetime at Bluesfest with that amazing vocals of hers!
The only hip-hop to play at the City Stage was Rae Sremmurd.
The brothers surely got all the young kids going crazy for them.
It was totally bonkers!
Cap it off for the second last day was Colin James at the Blacksheep Stage.
It was a different world seeing the grown-up on their lawn chairs and excited for some rock and blues music.
