So Faint is the collaborative project of Lyn Heinemann and Hannah Georgas, and today they dropped the music video for “Fully Slow,” the leading single from their upcoming self-titled album, arriving October 16, 2026 via Georgas’ own Beetle Bomb Records and Beautiful View Records.
“Fully Slow” immediately settles into a warm, laid-back indie guitar sound that feels effortless and inviting.
There is a gentle alt-pop quality to the track, with its relaxed instrumentation giving the song plenty of room to breathe while the lyrics explore something much more emotionally complicated underneath.
The song focuses on the quiet ache of wanting someone who you already know will never want you back.
Rather than turning that feeling into a dramatic heartbreak anthem, So Faint approaches it from the perspective of an internalized crush—one where the fantasy can become much bigger than reality.
As Heinemann explains, the song is about “wanting someone who you know deep down will never want you back, but still fantasizing that they do.” She describes being prone to intense crushes that remain completely internalized, imagining an entire storyline without ever acting on it.
That contrast between the breezy, easy-listening sound and the complicated emotions at the heart of “Fully Slow” is what makes the track so appealing. It sounds light and effortless on the surface, while the lyrics reveal the endless overthinking and romantic daydreaming that can come with an impossible crush.
Georgas is also taking a more personal approach to releasing the music, with So Faint’s upcoming album coming out through her own Beetle Bomb Records. She says she has wanted to release music on her own label for some time and was excited to build a team she knows and trusts around the project.
“Fully Slow” is a lovely introduction to So Faint and an intriguing first taste of their upcoming self-titled album.
With its mellow indie guitar textures, soft alt-pop sensibility and relatable exploration of an impossible crush, it is an easy track to get lost in.
