After spending the whole day at Glebe Streets. I biked down to Rochester Pub which is on Rochester/Carling. It was my first time being there and it’s a really small nice pub. Didn’t know they sometimes do some shows there.
You can say summer hasn’t ended yet. It sure wasn’t at Ritual Nightclub on September 8, 2011. Gaining alot of buzz at this year’s Ottawa Bluesfest (kicking myself for missing them). I am talking about Hypnotic Brass Ensemble. Happened to be World Famous Music‘s one year anniversary for live shows in Ottawa.
My favorite track from F**ked Up‘s David Comes To Life has now have a music video. I would have thought The Other Shoe be a continuation from Queen Of Hearts. After the singing children, we see the teacher looking far across where there is something on fire. At least we see the band in this …
Montreal’s Devil Eyes played at Mavericks for The Polymorphine’s EP Release show. Very wild and grungey loud set this band put on. They were really great live too. Had alot of energy on stage.
Ottawa’s Thunder Uncle played at Mavericks for The Polymorphine’s EP Release show. It was very loud rocking set. Got there at 10pm and I thought they played a 15 minute set but eventually they started at 9:45pm.
First show in Ottawa since coming back to NXNE. Feels kind of weird but at least I got to see people I knew tell stories on who I saw at the festival. Considering this year most people in Ottawa stayed for Ottawa Explosion (which I missed out).
San Diego band Crocodiles did one of three NXNE shows at the Silver Dollar Room. I happened to catch the first night. But kind of kicking myself missing the second and third night because Dum Dum Girls came on stage with Crocodiles. Anyways they put on a wonderful rocking set. Wasn’t expecting them to be …
Since I uploaded one photo of Fucked Up‘s set at Young Dundas Square during NXNE. Here are some of the photos taken from it. Man was it wild and crazy!! Also their new music video for Queen of Hearts just dropped. Have a look at it.
Wow! I finally got to see F–ked Up live for the first. I went down to Yonge Dundas Square. They played a free show at 8pm. I was surely blown away with the performance. Apparently photographers were separated into three groups. I was in group three. All I can say was the show was “f**ked …
I hope I don’t “F**k up” this album review? 😛 There is high *literally* anticipation on June 7, 2011. Why? The new album by Toronto’s Fucked Up with what is being hailed as a rock-opera. With eighteen tracks will people want to listen to 1.2 hours of punk and hard rock music?
