Walrus and Nightshades @ Mugshots [July 4, 2015]

It was the fourth of July but usually the first week of the month which means “FRYQUENCY“!
Fryquency is an all ages pay-what-you-can event series to exhibit emerging Canadian music held monthly at the jail bar.
Play at this month’s show was Walrus from Halifax and Nightshades from Ottawa.
Sadly there was a third that was on the bill but had to cancel but it was a great summer show at the courtyard!

Nightshades @ Mugshots
The first band to perform was Ottawa’s Nightshades. It was their first show with their new bassist Tyler Joseph Roy of Fellow. The band played materials from their EP called Wendy. Pretty rocking set!
Walrus @ Mugshots
Lastly it was Halifax’s Walrus turn to perform. The band played an awesome experimental pop and psych-rock set. Audience was dancing around to their music. It was definitely a fun awesome set.
