Wolf Parade – Expo 86

Review of the album.

Wolf Parade is one those bands I really need to get into their music.
One of those bands I don’t think will ever get to see live with how high they are in the indie rock music status.
I still haven’t heard their albums At Mount Zoomer and Apologies to the Queen Mary.
Its kind of hard since I am more of a big fan of Handsome Furs than Wolf Parade.
Expo 86 is their third album and it doesn’t drop until June 28, 2010.

Listening to the whole eleven tracks on the album.
I really enjoyed Expo 86.
Its a great indie rock album, easy and accessible to listen to.
Also an epic album since most of the track are more than 4 minutes.
The only one being Two Men in New Tuxedos which clocks at 3 minutes.
The longest being Cave-o-sapien.
Maybe its me, but I find that Dan and Spencer seem to alternate in each track.
You can sense how different their styles are in some of the tracks.
Not to play favorites, I seem to like more of Dan Boeckner’s vocals since its so recognizable.
This is one solid album from Wolf Parade this year.
Love the interesting unique song titles.
