Brooklyn’s DIIV are back with a new dreamy and electrifying track called “The Fountain,” accompanied by a mesmerizing new music video.
“The Fountain” is the leading single from the band’s upcoming fifth studio album, ZIRP!, which is set to arrive on October 30, 2026, via Fantasy Records.
Clocking in with DIIV’s familiar atmospheric sound, “The Fountain” blends shimmering guitars, hazy textures and an immersive indie rock foundation with elements of shoegaze and alternative rock.
The track feels both expansive and hypnotic, creating that dreamy wall of sound that DIIV have become so well accustomed to.
There is something instantly recognizable about the band’s approach here.
The swirling guitars and electrifying instrumentation give “The Fountain” a sense of movement while maintaining the hazy, introspective quality that has become a defining part of DIIV’s sound.
As the first taste of ZIRP!, “The Fountain” is a promising introduction to what the Brooklyn band has in store.
If you’re already a fan of DIIV’s dreamy shoegaze and alternative rock sound, this track should feel right at home in their catalogue while offering another glimpse into the band’s next chapter.
