Ensembl’arts interprets an idea through the multifaceted performances of sound, image, and movement.
Violinist Marc Djokic and visual artist Avery Zhao founded this Montreal-based multidisciplinary ensemble in 2013. Since then Ensembl’arts has premiered and commissioned new works, created artistic music videos and has been featured on several summer music festivals across Canada.
Through its main Art Crush concert series, Ensembl’arts presents multidisciplinary concerts and community events, often in collaboration with guest artists and other ensembles.
Ensembl’arts explores multidisciplinary creation and performance through the disciplines of instrumental music, dance, live-painting, performative sculpture and interactive installations.
