The Toronto-based band, Jane’s Party, recently released a live session music video for their song ‘Common Guys’, which features members of the band Zeus.
The new collaboration brings an energetic and upbeat indie pop rock sound to the table.
About the updated track by Jane’s Party:
Their positive anthem “Common Guys” walks the fine line between polished dance-pop and slacker indie rock.
Meant to inspire confidence and joy in the day-to-day, guitarist and vocalist Tom Ionescu explains “that we all feel so uninteresting or not special at times – but when we’re just being our normal selves and nobody’s watching, we do some of the most incredible things.
It so often happens that we don’t see our superpower in the moment.”
The Super Deluxe Edition is packaged with two tracks featuring their long-time friends and collaborators Zeus, on a live session version of “Common Guys” and a cover of “How Long” by Ace, filmed in the Pineship Sound recording studio with Neil Quin and Carlin Nicholson.
Zeus has worked with JP for over a decade, first to record their Hot Noise album in 2013 and later to produce Live Again in 2022.
