Ottawa folks showed up on a Tuesday night ready to move, filling the floors of Club SAW for a dynamic Debaser night of electronic music with Montreal’s own Marie Davidson and Toronto producer Tony Price.
Hot off the release of her new album City of Clowns, Marie Davidson made her Ottawa debut.
The crowd was fully locked in, dancing and cheering as Davidson delivered a set that was both hypnotic and high-energy.
Her command of the stage and signature blend of techno, synth-pop, and spoken word made for an unforgettable experience.
Personally, I couldn’t stop dancing—this show was an absolute blast from start to finish.
Opening the night, Tony Price set the tone with a playful and propulsive set.
One standout moment was his clever use of Mel B’s iconic laugh from the Spice Girls’ Wannabe, which he worked seamlessly into a thumping electronica/techno groove.
It was a fun and unexpected twist that got the room smiling and nodding along before the dancing really kicked off.
Together, Davidson and Price delivered a night that was anything but typical for a Tuesday—transforming Club SAW into a full-on dance floor. Here’s hoping Ottawa doesn’t have to wait too long for a return visit.
