Last week of August and it was a busy Saturday.
There was a concert that I didn’t want to miss out at the National Arts Centre which Metric and Bartees Strange.
This was probably the first time Metric has performed at Southam Hall.
The band is currently on their Doomscroller Tour promoting Forentera.
Kicking off with the epic Doomscroller that was literally 10 minutes.
There was favourites like Help! I’m Alive, Gimme Sympathy and Breathing Underwater.
Bummed out they didn’t perform Empty where Emily always shakes and waving her hair.
The band I was more excited to see was Bartees Strange from Washington D.C.
Bartees rocked it at the theatre playing tracks from Farm to Table.
Did a great cover of the National’s Lemonworld.
Going to say it was worth seeing this band open up.
