Today the New Brunswick-based Avant-Rock trio, Motherhood dropped a rip roaring avant punk rocking track called Dry Heave.
A follow-up from their amazing 2022 album Winded and this leading single is taken from the upcoming 2-track single of the same name which comes out on May 1, 2023 via Halifax-based label Forward Music Group.
About the track:
“Dry Heave” is a dual tempo assault about a sudden cloud transporting the narrator back in time to the beginning of history.
Dry Heave is the chronological beginning of this group of songs. A person is walking across a bridge towards their home.
They turn around and see that a giant, dark cloud has covered what used to be the river and the other side of the city.
The cloud expands out over everything except a 2km circle on the edge of the river. Time backs up to the beginning and starts over, leaving our witness to live through all of history in the small clearing.
