Pop Montreal 2025 [Day 3]

On the third day of Pop Montreal 2025, things kicked off with the Pop Symposium Artist Talk featuring Ribbon Skirt, a thoughtful start before diving into the evening’s music.

Before the main showcases, I stopped by an Off Piknik event, which meant I only caught a handful of shows Friday night—but they were more than worth it.
At Toscadura, I arrived just in time to catch the chaotic tail end of Fireball Kid/Ura Star’s set, where the room erupted into wild moshing.
The energy carried perfectly into No Joy’s set, which was a dreamy, hypnotic wash of shoegaze.
Jasmine’s vocals came through with striking clarity, adding an extra layer of surprise and beauty to the performance.

From there, I made my way to Rialto Hall and somehow managed to get into the completely sold-out Chanel Beads show.
It ended up being the highlight of the festival for me—an absolutely unreal performance that was both transcendental and deeply emotional.
A rare kind of show that left the entire room in awe.

What a Friday night at Pop Montreal.
