Today Ottawa’s Steve Adamyk Band dropped the 2 single EP called Drunk Dial #11 via Portland’s Drunk Dial Records.
While anticipated for something new these two tracks are covers and has more of a fly on the wall straight live recordings.
Still great garage power popping tracks in Steve Adamyk fashion.
About the single by Steve:
For those who don’t know, here’s how Drunk Dial Records operates: they invite artists they adore into a recording studio to write and record an original song and cover a classic tune in one session.
But there’s a catch! The artist or band in question must compose and perform these songs while inebriated.
The recordings are then released as a 7” vinyl single.
These songs were never meant to be on an official release. Rather, they are the spontaneous recordings of longtime bandmates after splitting a case of Costco Coronas. Recorded in the summer of 2021 in Mayo, Quebec.
