Recently the Hamilton Ontario band The Beach Bats dropped their album called Limbo.
Seven tracks of gruff-hazy pyschedelic alternative rock music.
About the album by The Beach Bats:
Limbo is a state of in between a purgatory, a waiting room.
Limbo is also about seeing just how low you can go before bottoming out.
These were different meanings that I wanted to explore lyrically over the course of the record with a mixture of lighter songs and others that were more personal to me.
The seven songs on Limbo deal with a variety of themes. Some deal with the difficult psychological dances people do together.
Others deal with the violence that lays on the outer edges of our imaginations.
Others still question why we trap ourselves in our personal Limbos to begin with.
Ultimately, we have created a collection of music that we hope provides the listener with musical variety and a chance to reflect and relate.
These songs are about whatever you need them to be, whenever you need them. Don’t let me tell you what to think, I’m no expert.
