Wet – Don’t You [Review]

Wet-DontYou
Wet is an act that is making waves on music sites like Pitchfork, CoS and others.
I have only heard of them for a few weeks and I am liking their music.
Don’t You is their long awaited debut album and all I have to say that the 11 tracks are simply hipster R&B and pop music.
It is like listening to the music of 1990s R&B that came out at the era like Xscape, SWV and En Vogue
Think of them as HAIM and The Dirty Projectors if they sounded R&B with an addition of Jessie Ware and Rhye.
While not groundbreaking, this act will definitely have some great success in 2016.
Overall listening to Don’t You is so smooth and sensual.
Best tracks:

  • Deadwater
  • Weak
  • Island
  • All The Ways
  • You’re The Best

I’d give Don’t You:
/10 Camera flashes.
