Yukon Blonde & Altameda @ NAC Fourth Stage

Yukon Blonde brought a burst of energy to a sold-out Monday night at the NAC Fourth Stage.
The Vancouver-based band is currently touring in support of their ninth album, Friendship & Rock ‘n’ Roll—a lively collection that blends the band’s signature indie and alternative rock sound while nodding to earlier albums like On Blonde and Tiger Talk.

Throughout the night, pockets of the audience couldn’t resist standing up and dancing, though it wasn’t until the encore that the entire room was on its feet, fully swept up in the band’s infectious groove.

Opening the evening was Toronto’s Altameda, delivering a heartfelt set that leaned into indie folk-rock and alternative country tones.
I managed to catch their final four songs, which set a warm and inviting mood for the night.

Altogether, it was a memorable evening of great music and an atmosphere that reminded everyone why live shows feel so special.
