This isn’t a good sign.
Arcade Fire just dropped the second single from their upcoming album Pink Elephant, which comes out on May 9, 2025, via Columbia Records.
This time, it’s the title track, following Year of the Snake from two weeks ago.
Once again, it’s the same slow, brooding alt-rock sound — and honestly, it’s just boring.
I’m still not feeling it and really hoping the later singles will bring back the loud, upbeat Arcade Fire energy.
Right now, Pink Elephant is shaping up to feel more like a Win and Régine solo project which is a strategic move if they’re trying to rehabilitate their image.
