Today the Montreal multi-instrumentalist, composer, producer, and sound designer Luke Kokoszka dropped the album called “…And Then Everything Was Beautiful Again”.
A dreamy & emotional experimental instrumental ambient electronic that is fitting for KEXP‘s Pacific Notions.
About the album by Luke:
…And Then Everything Was Beautiful Again is a meditation on resilience, rediscovery, tragedy, and beauty.
Perhaps it is the acute awareness of the unique phenomenon that is aging, or perhaps it is the way we envisioned our lives when we were younger panning out in more ambiguous and sometimes despondent ways.
Each track on the album takes us through the fluctuations of a life lived, but not as we might have intended.
There is no concrete path, no guarantee, no end in sight, only one step to the next.
In the moments of great beauty there is a tinge of despair, and in the moments of bliss, a catastrophe awaits.
Through merging compositional ambient and contemplative, often percussion-less electronic, …And Then Everything Was Beautiful Again relies on emotional resonance, encouraging the listener to sit back and immerse themselves in a parallel life not so far from their own.
