Martha Wainwright @ El Mocambo [CMW 2012]

Having seen Martha Wainwright played a short set earlier at Sonic Boom.
A friend suggested that I shouldn’t missed this out.
The showcase was part of SiriusXM Presents La Belle Province which was broadcast live on CBC Radio 3 and Bande à Part.

It was a nice beautiful solo set by Martha.
She played alot of new material from an upcoming album.
Again she did her kicks when performing.
Funny on one song, she wanted the audience to shut the “bleep” up because it was about motherhood.
There was one song she sang was one of her mother’s song.
The surprised for the set was a special appearance by Rufus but he had to cancelled due to illness (If I am correct).
There were some people were bummed out about it.
Overall it was a absolutely amazing set.
