oh caroline – Monochrome [Streaming]

Recently the Winnipeg, Manitoba, American and European trio oh caroline dropped their album called Monochrome via Friends of Friends Music.
A cool lo-fi electro-pop album that is similar to the Montreal band afternoon bike ride.

About the album by oh caroline:
The international trio merges three unique existences to create a nostalgic soundscape with unmistakable depth.
Aiming to take you back to the crisp fall air of your childhood, the band creates a sentimental narrative by reflecting back to simpler times.
The group is composed of Boston’s William Breeuwsma (Towerz), Winnipeg’s Lhasa Petik and their newest member Thomas Bråttvik (Hanz).
Welcoming Thomas this past year has resulted in oh caroline’s’ sound blossoming from a melancholic lofi-folk duo to an experimental pop trio.

Individually spanning multiple genres, the members play into their respective strengths and tastes to effortlessly hop between them. The project, now lush with electronic elements, has become more mature and polished while still maintaining the rawness of its early days.

The three members have individually spent the last year navigating the growing pains of being a band in three very different places and creating their debut full-length album.
The result has been a carefully curated 12-track project that strives to revitalize your childlike wonder and encourages listeners to find solace in the small things in life.
Dropping their first single this summer, oh caroline can’t wait to take you on an emotional journey of changing times and changing perspectives.
