Winnipeg’s Royal Canoe stopped by at The 27 Club on March 9, 2019.
Ottawa was the sixth stop on their Waver Tour in support of the album Waver.
Starting off the show was Ottawa’s mal/aimé.
They provided some experimental ambient drone music.
That you can close your eyes and drift off to their music. 8/10.
Then Royal Canoe went on and it was a wonderful set of indie alternative synth-pop music.
Last time they played at the same venue was in October but they hadn’t released Waver at that time.
Very déjà vu but it was still fun to dance and groove to their music for a packed Saturday night. 9/10.
