Wow how one year has changed for Skrillex.
It was last year that he played at a different stage and causing insanity with the crowds.
Now this year, being ranked #4 in BBC Sound of 2012, bigger fanbase and other great recognitions.
He played the main stage with great anticipation and broke the record for walk-up attendance at the festival with about 10,000.
Before the show started there was a five minute countdown which I thought took forever.
This time he had a space ship set up on the Bluesfest Main Stage.

More flashy lights and a stunning video background.
There were parts of me while checking out the set.
One part was “ya it’s fun while having some drinks”.
The other part (a snarky one) is “really all he has to do is press play and get everyone all riled up?”.
I will go back to the first part.
Totally enjoyed and danced to tracks like Ruffneck Full Flex and Breakn’ a Sweat.
I was surprised he played his remix of Avicii’s Level.
Also did a nice remix of Beastie Boys’ Sabotage.
The only problem with this kind of show.
You don’t know how messed up the kids can be on drugs.
One instance my friends and I noticed these two people.
Both were grinding pretty hardly but we noticed how the girl couldn’t stand straight and not sure if the guy was going to take advantage.
It took awhile to get security to help these two.
Not sure if they were kicked out or got medical help.
I know Bluesfest can’t control stuff like this. But better be safe than sorry of trying to help out.
Not to be “Debbie downer” on this.
This ended a great second last night of Bluesfest.
Great turnout without being too chaotic.
Of course people who was there will say the same thing (or not).
