Great for Club Saw to have live music back on March 4, 2022.
To kick it off, Spectrasonic presented Status/Non-Status, Strange Fugitive and A Mix Of Sun & Cloud.
Been about 2 years since I last seen Status/Non-Status (fka Whoop-SZO) performed live.
It was a great to hear their blend of Psych-Rock, Shoegaze and Indigenous music.
The band previewed new materials which sounded very OMBIIGIZI.
Later on things got loud and heavy when playing tracks Gerry on Warrior Down and Genocide on Citizen’s Ban(ne)d Radio.
It was so great that the show ended before 11pm and wished they played longer.
Second band was Ottawa’s Strange Fugitive.
Performing a loud atmospheric post rock music.
It was kind of a coincidence because when the province lifted restrictions in July, they opened up for Zoon and now with restrictions lifted in March they opened to another Indigenous band.
Great hair-raising set!
Kicking off the set was A Mix of Sun & Cloud.
I wasn’t familiar with them where they played some garage punk dad alt-rock music.
Overall a great return to live music in Ottawa.
