Taylor Swift – Midnights (3am Edition) [Streaming]

After the release of Taylor Swift‘s 10th album called Midnights, comes the 3am edition.
Basically 7 more tracks that brings more of that intimate night time feel.
Three tracks that Taylor co-wrote/produced with Aaron Dessner of The National feels more organic than the ones with Jack Antonoff with the reverb of the vocals and drums.
As I long for the return to the explosive upbeat pop sound of 1989, this is still on the veins of the two albums Folklore and Evermore with its lyrical content.
This is more of a dark intimate downtempo moody feel on the themes of dark nights of loneliness and dark thought of getting back at the ex’s.
Again it will take some more listens to get the feeling on Midnights
Anyone felt that Midnights feels somewhat rushed?

About the album:
As she states on the audio track “Meet me at Midnight”:
“Midnight as she described it as “the stories of 13 sleepless nights scattered throughout my life.”
“This is a collection of music written in the middle of the night, a journey through terrors and sweet dreams,” Swift wrote.
“The floors we pace and the demons we face. For all of us who have tossed and turned and decided to keep the lanterns lit and go searching to hoping that just maybe, when the clock strikes twelve… we’ll meet ourselves.”
