The New Pornographers – Your Hands (Together) [Review]

May 4th is becoming to be the battle of the indie Canadian bands releasing album, other being Broken Social Scenes new album.
While we wait for the New Pornographers album to drop.
Now comes the new leading single Your Hands (Together)
Listening to the 3:33 minute song.
It sounds heavy but uplifting and maintains that New Pornographers sound from Twin Cinema era.
Reminisced to “Use It”.

I am sort of a late bloomer when it comes to the New Pornographers.
Noticed this band due to mostly from Kathryn Calder who plays in Immaculate Machine and found out about New Pornographers from their album Challengers during Immaculate Machine’s Fables tour.

Looking at the album cover, it sort of looks like a fun playful album.
So far we know that the album will have collaborations from St. Vincent, Beirut’s Zach Condon and Okkervil River’s Will Sheff.
Probably this one will do as well from the last effort from Challengers, which people I’ve talked to said it was more of a mellow affair.
Cross our fingers and hope this will be their best album.
