Went to Zaphod Beeblebrox on September 7, 2011.
I was curious to see this band called Wagons.
They are signed to Six Shooter Records and came all the way from Australia to do their North American tour.
So why not check out this band and hopefully give them a lovely Ottawa welcome.
Opening up the show was Ottawa’s Old Crowns.
Haven’t seen them play in quite some time.
Since they are busy (I hope they are) recording new material for a new untitled album.
I will say it was same old same old with the songs they played.
But they did play one new song.
At least they were rocking loud. (literally)
Then it was Wagon’s turn to play.
Before the show started, there was a power outage in the city.
I thought it was a thunderstorm but it wasn’t the weather.
It was kind of funny since the lead singer, if the power outage was longer they would have done a acoustic set.
They surely know how to put on a show.
It is so weird that a band from Australia and they had that Americana country rock sound to them.
It was pretty fun and catchy set they put on.
Before their last song, I was surprised that two of the members were doing a hip-hop song.
Who knew they had it in them!
It was a fun set to see last night.
Here are the rest of the photos.
