Vancouver-based record producer and multi-instrumentalist, zensei ゼンセー (pronounced ZEN-say) dropped the long awaited debut album called destination heartbreak via Monstercat.

For zensei ゼンセー, the making of destination heartbreak was both an exhilarating and nerve-wracking experience. Differing from his previous work, he used down sampling and ran it through old tape and amps at his home studio. This gave each song a stronger vintage feel, pushing him out of his comfort zone and helping zensei ゼンセー grow as an artist.
“I took a leap of faith and started experimenting with new sounds, genres, and writing techniques. It was daunting at first, but as I delved deeper into the creative process, I felt a renewed sense of excitement and inspiration,” zensei ゼンセー adds. “I found myself taking risks and trying things I never would have considered before, and the results have been incredible. Each new song feels like a breakthrough, a step forward on my musical journey.”
