Choose the Answer that Best Describes You is a body of work that explores identity, the “self” and the idea of self-fulfilling prophecies. Photographic images paired with text aim to portray the complex relationship between an individual and their self-image.

Of the many self-administered personality tests available on the Internet today, most are based on the popular Myers-Briggs Type Indicator. They are designed to reveal aspects of a person’s character or personality traits, categorizing individuals into one of 16 types. Finding the test, and subsequently her “type” (INFP – the abbreviation standing for Introversion, iNtuition, Feeling and Perception), the artist felt the statements becoming facts, personality no longer a fluid mystery. Is it harmful to believe that behaviours are predetermined in some way? Do we allow these statements to dictate us?
