Saturday, June 10 from 1pm-9pm at 261 Montréal Rd–Be at MOZAIK for the BLOCK PARTY to celebrate the tallest mural in Ottawa, painted by Kalkidan Assefa and Mique Michelle!
We are ***CLOSING down 3 blocks of Montréal Road (from Lajoie to Olmstead) to host an epic, first-ever street party in the heart of Vanier!***
–The Brewery Market at Mozaik ( ft: Dominion City Brewing Co..,Clocktower Brew Pub – New Edinburgh, Bicycle Craft Brewery)
-Live performances by Nile Groove!

MOZAIK event to feature TALLEST mural in Ottawa! QVBIA partnered with the House of PainT – UrbanArtFest and the property owner of 261 Montréal Road. We asked you, the community, to vote for your favourite mural design; Over 1,000 votes were cast! We are delighted to announce the winning artist team: Mique Michelle and Kalkidan Assefa.
MOZAIK will feature another large mural painted on the Peach Garden at 273 Montréal Road, in partnership with Crime Prevention Ottawa/Prévention du Crime Ottawa’s Paint It Up program, the Boys and Girls Club of Ottawa and the Centre des services communautaires Vanier / Vanier Community Service Centre. Directly across the street from the large murals at the vacant lot found at 250 Montréal Road, with the support of its property owner Association des enseignantes et des enseignants franco-ontariens (AEFO), MOZAIK will also be featuring a dynamic program of activities which includes: Nile Groove, TIMEKODE, The Full Time Groove, KOOL KRYS, The Brewery Market (ft. Clock Tower Brew Pub The, Dominion City Brewing Co.,and Bicycle Craft Brewery), several local food vendors and CHUO 89.1 FM. Help us to turn the dream of the tallest mural in Ottawa into a reality and join us in our crowdfunding campaign to raise $10,000 to create THE Vanier Canada 150th event! In partnership, the Quartier Vanier Merchants Association – BIA and House of PainT – UrbanArtFest present MOZAIK. MOZAIK is a mural art project to paint the tallest mural in Ottawa at 261 Montréal Road in the heart of Vanier! We will unveil the tallest mural with a community event that animates the area, bringing it to life through the eyes of contemporary artists by celebrating Canada’s 150th through themes of diversity, inclusion and community.

• Activities: Seeking local organizations to host activities throughout the day on June 10, 2017
