Sarah Bradley
For The Kill represents Sarah Bradley’s boldest, most sincere step into the limelight. The five songs that comprise the EP each display Sarah’s penchant for honest, personal lyricism and her ability to seamlessly and authentically create music that expresses her love for the pop, R&B and electronic artists who’ve come before her. For The Kill is a humbling, deeply sincere articulation of the insights, struggles, wounds and emerging triumphs Sarah’s life has earned as she has learned to navigate relationships, disappointments and—most poignantly—the needs and virtues of her own heart.
Songs such as “Shift” and “I Chose Mine” display Sarah’s confidence and skillfulness as a vocalist, instrumentalist and arranger, but also a humble, authentic form of hard-earned wisdom. The songs collected on For The Kill testify to Sarah Bradley’s profound humanity, as she shows herself able to carry her courage, perseverance, patience, passion and aptitude for joy into lyricism that speaks, in equal measure, to Sarah’s heartbreaks and substantial triumphs. On For The Kill listeners receive an honest and delightful portrait of the human being and musician Sarah Bradley sees herself becoming. The smooth, fluid and nuanced arrangements testify to Sarah’s powerful self awareness as a musician, while the soul-bearing lyrics of the project express her strength-of-character and the deep emotional intelligence that underscores her presence in the world. For The Kill is a delightful, bittersweet, but ultimately joyous journey into the heart and mind of a remarkable young musician.
MACK & BEN
A groovy, heartfelt, and soul-filled sibling fronted group. Blending indie pop with neo-soul, and infusing it with hints of folkiness (and funkiness) this pair of old souls, backed by a hard hitting band, is bringing something fresh to the table.
