Recently, Austra released Patrick Holland’s remix of “Siren Song” titled “Siren Reprise.”
The reworked version trades some of the dreamy trance atmosphere of the original for a more playful and energetic 80s-inspired dance-pop vibe.
Bright synths, pulsing beats, and shimmering melodies give the track a nostalgic club feel while still keeping the emotional pull that made “Siren Song” so captivating in the first place.

Patrick and I wrote siren song together at his studio in Montreal a few years ago.
I loved the demo but Kieran and I had to reimagine the production to fit a little better in buttercup’s world… I couldn’t get that first version out of my head tho, so I asked Patrick to make a “remix” hoping the seeds living in that early demo might get their own little life…
Siren Reprise is based on the original version of the song, does that mean it’s the truest? Not quite sure… But it’s very good
